Our Values
Quality
We believe in continuously seeking better and innovative ways to meet the needs and expectations of our patients, each other, and the people, organizations, and communities we serve. We make the quality of our services and programs our first priority, and strive to eliminate barriers to efficient and cost effective operations.
Quality is Our Highest Priority
You Can Bet Your Life On it!
With so much attention lately on the financial situation of the hospital, it is important to clarify that this focus on dollars has not distracted us form our main mission of providing a high quality and safe environment.
What Is a Public Hospital District?
Whidbey General is a Public Hospital District. This means it was created, and is supported, by the community specifically to ensure the availability of quality health care services, close to home. As a community-driven institution, we are directly accountable to the people who live here, not to stockholders or some out-of-area corporation.
