I have been a Whidbey Island resident since 1958 and have lived on North Whidbey as well as South Whidbey. This allows me to bring to the board a unique perspective to the needs of the residents of Whidbey Island. I have worked in the EMS system and have worked with the medical providers of Whidbey Island over the years. I currently own and operate my own business in Oak Harbor. This experience helps me to understand the administration of and the need for working with budgets. In my position as Commissioner, it is my responsibility in working for the public, to use their money wisely, and to keep the trust of the public in decisions made regarding the use of public funds. It is my desire that Whidbey General Hospital is able to provide top quality care to the people of Island County. This includes the ability to recruit and retain top quality medical personnel to our Island
Mr Wallin joined the Board of Hospital Commissioners in 2008.
