Hospital Services

Our licensed 51 bed facility provides a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services to over 40,000 people per year. As a Critical Access Hospital we have 25 inpatient beds and 26 Observation stretchers (where patients may be observed for 24-48 hours).

Over 60 physicians representing 16 specialties work together with professional nurses and support staff to provide comprehensive, optimal health care. A fully equipped 13 bed emergency room is staffed twenty-four hours a day by doctors and nurses skilled in emergency care. Our outpatient services have expanded into the community to provide better access to care, and health education classes are offered year round.

At Whidbey General Hospital, we continually strive for healthcare excellence while working to ensure that the residents of Whidbey Island have the medical services they need close to home.
