Heartwise Community Education Classes

Knowledge about heart disease, stroke and the effects of diabetes on the heart, can help people take action to prevent or reduce the complications from these diseases . Starting in February, the Life Center offers community education classes on these topics.

 

2011 Red Dress Luncheon
125 Soroptimist International members attended the Area Meeting/Red Dress Luncheon on Feb.19th in Coupeville. The group contributed $1200 to the Heart of a Woman Program which provides free Cholesterol/Blood Sugar/Triglyceride screenings to Whidbey Island woman with financial concern. This program is a partnership between WGH and the 3 WI Soroptimist groups. If any Whidbey Island woman with financial concern would like to schedule a Heart of a Woman screening please contact  WGH Life Center at 360-321-7656 ext 2130, 360-678-7656 ext 2130.
