During Your Stay

Care managers work with your doctor to ensure the highest quality of patient care in the proper setting.

The Food Service department at WGH provides quality food that meets the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our patients. The WGH cafe serves three hot meals per day, including heart healthy and a la carte dishes for visitors and our staff.

Hospital safety regulations prohibit the use of personal electrical appliances, e.g. shavers, hair dryers, electric toothbrushes. Battery operated appliances, which do not require recharging in the patient area, are permitted. All other appliances must be sent home.

You don't have to be a patient to visit the hospital Gift Shop. Open from 10am - 4pm. Monday through Friday and from 1- 4pm on Sunday, the Gift Shop features the work of local craftspersons and authors as well as a great variety of gift items, flowers, cards, stuffed animals, toys, and daily necessities. There's always something new.

For your safety, you will be fitted with an identification bracelet when you arrive. It must be worn throughout your stay. Accurate patient identification is essential for medical and nursing care.
